Do you have trouble making cards for the guys? Check out this textured masculine card that started with Kromekote Cardstock! Hi, it is Teri with TerisMailbox posting for CutCardStock!
I love to make cards with lots of layers and textures! Let me walk you through how I created this one!
Hello friends. Have you tried inlaid die cuts? Today I am presenting for CutCardStock using a variety of their gorgeous cardstock to create this colorful inlaid cardstock bloom card.
This is Altenew's Dainy Bloom Cover Plate plus a variety of gorgeous cardstock!
Create the Sticky Base
Use a piece of Cougar 80 lb. Cardstock larger than an A2 card base. Cut a piece of double-sided sticky paper and attach to the cardstock.
Die Cut the Components
Start by die cutting the gold frame using Classic Linen Gold Pearl Cardstock. It has a beautiful subtle shine. Pop out all of the pieces. Next die cut PopTone Gum Drop Green Cardstock. Carefully insert the pieces into the stick frame in the appropriate openings.
Next use Star Dream Metallic Amethyst Cardstock and run the frame through your die cutter. Select the lower petals of the larger blooms and insert into the sticky frame.
Pop out all the pieces and die cut the panel again using Pop Tone Grape Jelly Cardstock. Use the darker purple for the inside petals plus the two similar blooms.
Repeat the process, filling in the last blooms with DCS Light Yellow Cardstock and the Background with Cougar 80 lb. White Cardstock. Use a Black Micron Pen to fill in the flower centers. I felt the pieces were much too small to handle.
Assemble the Card
Once you have filled the panel with inlaid cardstock pieces, attach the panel to an A2 card base made with Cougar 110 lb. Cardstock. This is my go-to for card bases.
Choose a sentiment to add. Use the Gold Linen Pearl Cardstock to die cut the shadow for the word hugs, and Pop Tone Black Licorice Cardstock for the sentiment. glue together and attach to the card front. I love how the Pearl Cardstock sets off the black sentiment.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Be sure to visit CutCardStock and check out their wonderful selection of paper, cardstock, envelopes and other paper products!
