Add Multiple Textures and Layers to a Tag

Greetings my friends! Today I am posting for The Funkie Junkie Boutique. I created this fun very layered Spring Tag for my Etcetera Grouping. The current challenge for The Funkie Junkie is Sunday in the Park - something you'd see in a park.

I do have a video on my YouTube Channel showing the steps for making this fun tag.

The link is Here in case it is not showing. I'd love to have you subscribe to my channel :).

The Robin took some finagling as I wasn't sure which layer was the belly and I really wanted a Robin. This Bird and Egg Colorize is pretty easy to assemble once you figure the layers out. First attempt is the learning one! After assembling the bird, I moved onto that very textured background!

The base layer is of course ink smooshing which you know I love! I used a few blues Weathered Wood, Stormy Skies and Speckled Egg Distressed Inks. Once the panel was dry, I added the sun using Mustard Seed Oxide Ink and the letters with Stormy Sky Distress Ink. The edge of the panel was inked with Stormy Sky after attaching to the Small Etcetera Tag with Collage Medium.

Check out the nest. I was inspired by Stacy Hutchinson, one of Tim/s designers.  I cut very thin pieces of multiple cardstocks and squished them all together for the nest. Love the dimension and texture.

I used a piece of Woodgrain Cardstock colored with Vintage Photo and Gathered Twigs with a top layer of Walnut Stain Ink directly applied to create the branches. The Sizzix Bigz Branches Die was perfect for this!

Last few steps were to create the tag using the Observations Stamp Set, trimmed with the Deckle Edge Trimmer, assemble the egg and put the tag together!
