Hello friends, I am posting today for The Funkie Junkie Boutique. Please consider joining our challenge on the blog. Deets at the end of this post. I love the concept of Gratitude and being Thankful. Use fall colors and embellishments to create a tag or project expressing gratitude. Here is the next edition in my Etcetera Tag Series.
It all starts with a Mini Etcetera Tag, a Ranger Brayer and Distress Paints in fall Colors! Rusty Hinge, Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint and Vintage Photo are the Colors used. I used the brayer to randomly add layers of the various paint colors to cover the tag.
I have a video on my YouTube channel documenting the series of layers I used to create this tag.
I will outline the multiple layers, but I recommend checking out the video for the details.
Next step was to add the sentiment from Stampers Anonymous Bold Sayings.
I started by stamping with distress ink and clear heat embossing. I wasn't pleased with the results, so I stamped again using Ground Expresso Archival Ink on the top.
The next layer uses a variety of Archival Inks and the Natures Wonder Stamp set to add a variety of falling leaves on the background. This set is my Go To set for fall. Ink colors include: Barn Door, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Ground Expresso and Peeled Paint.
The final layer uses embossing inks and Ranger Embossing Glazes in Fossilized Amber, Peeled Paint, Rusty Hinge and Crackling Campfire.
I distressed inked seam binding in Crackling Campfire, Fossilized Amber and Peeled Paint Distress Inks, created a bow and added some various Ideology Tokens colored with a Carved Pumpkin Crayon.
To finish the tag, I added a few oak leaved created with the Oak Leaf Impresslits from my stash of pre-created die cuts. The new Impresslits are being released in limited supplies, so you need to get yours before they are gone.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'd love to have you follow/subscribe on my social media sites Instagram, Facebook, Blogger and You Tube. Be well. Be creative!
Beautiful layering of the leaves. Reminds me of a sidewalk full of fall leaves partially decaying but still showing all the fall beauty!
ReplyDeleteI love your tag, Teri! I saw Suzanne's comment and we obviously had the same thing in mind, except my mind saw the decaying leaves in the woods! Ha! ha! Your change in plans for your sentiment yielded fabulous results!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous tag! The leaves are fantastic.
