Snarky Decor Tag

Welcome back Funkie Junkies. Today I am sharing tag #2 in my series of fun and colorful tags for The Funkie Junkie Boutique! I love Tim Holtz's Snarky Cats - the snarkier the better!

It all starts with a Mini Etcetera Tag! These tage are the perfect size for small scenes!

I began by adding a stripped piece of cardstock from one of Tim's paper packs using Collage Medium.  The layers are added with different stencils. White Texture Paste adds the smalldots using the Halftone Stencil.  The Industrial Stencil was perfect to add random words and numbers with Blue Print Sketch Distress Ink. Mowed Lawn Distress Ink was added for a balance of color and patterns using the xxxxxxxx

Now, let's get Snarky!

I love all the Snarky Cats sets and will admit to owning multiples!  I stamped the cats and colored with a variety of Copic Markers.  After they were die-cut, I began arranging them in a fun scene on the tag.  The top cat hangs from a tree branch cut using a Ranger Bigz Die.

Last piece is the sentiment stamped on white cardstock and colored with the Mowed Lawn Distress ink. A few extra layers adds dimension.

The last step was adding the twine bow!  I hope you enjoyed my post.

The Funkie Junkie is sponsoring a challenge on the Challenge Blog. Create a new project following the challenge theme, link it below to your post (not your blog) and include a link back to this challenge in your post. You could win a $25.00 gift card to the Funkie Junkie Boutique.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'd love to have you follow/subscribe on my social media sites Instagram, Facebook, Blogger and You Tube.  Be well. Be creative!

  3. This is such a fun challenge and you did a great job incorporating beautiful art with the silliness of these cats. I have a few of these sets, too. Love the colors you paired over the subtle striped paper for your background. Great tag!
