Another Altenew Inspiration Challenge Entry

The second card I created for the Altenew Inspiration Challenge as well as a response to my good friend Amber of Notable Ink's challenge to use my smooshing technique with the challenge colors. Game on!

For this card I used Marigold, Maple Yellow and Ultramarine inks on watercolor paper.

I smooshed areas of color onto my craft mat and dragged the paper through the color. I heat dried the piece prior to adding additional color so the ink would be layered on top. 

Once the watercolor piece was dry, I trimmed it down and used the Altenew Thanks die to cut the sentiment out. I also cut a second Thanks from orange fun foam. You can see the dimension it created!

I attached the base with the word cut out to provide a window to glue the fun foam in. I then attached the watercolor word on top. The stamped sentiment is from the Heartfelt Sentiments set from Altenew.
