A Fun Birthday Card for the Hero Arts Challenge

Greetings Crafty Friends! I hope you are well!

I wanted to share a card I am entering in the A Blog Named Hero Challenge.

The theme this month is all about birthdays. Who doesn't need extra birthday cards stashed away?
I used my favorite Distress Ink colors and had a great time creating this one!

I started by stamping the Hero Arts Background stamp onto watercolor paper using the Stormy Skies Distress ink. I spritzed it a little to get the colors to run. Once it was dry, I ink blended Tumbled Glass on top.

I stamped the figure from a 2018 Hero Arts Kit in Versa Fine ink and embossed with Wow Clear embossing powder.

I stamped the Happy Birthday balloon from an older My Favorite Things stamp and die set.

The colored balloons were created by ink blending the colors on Neenah 100 lb paper and cutting with the dies. I decided the balloons needed some texture. The Hero Arts Spiral Stencil was perfect and had enough variation on it that I was able to achieve three different looks.  The texture was achieved by laying the stencil on top and spritzing with water. A paper towel soaked up the moisture.

Finally, the large sentiment was stamped using The Clean Line Everyday stamp from Simon Says Stamp.

I hope I have given you ideas today. Be well. Be creative.

I'd love to have you follow/subscribe on my other social media sites Instagram, Facebook, Blogger and You Tube
