Do you have trouble lining up layered stamps? Try this....

Greetings crafty friends!  Ever have trouble aligning floral stamps?  Try using a jig to help.  I love Altenew florals.  I find it easier to start with the outline, and move from lighter to darker layer.  What do you do if there is only a partial outline as in the case of the Winter Rose Set?  I will walk you through the process that I found helpful in alligning this set.

I cut cardstock in 3 x 3 inch pieces and die cut the large flower in the center of each block.  The jig is placed in the corner and the matching die cut added.
I stamped the first 2 layers using Altenew's coral set.

I stamped the darkest color followed by the outline stamp.  One you have the jigs, pieces and stamps aligned in the MISTI, you can create mutiples easily.

Here is the finished card. I used the Altenew watercolor stripes smooshed with Hickory Smoke and Pumice Stone Distress ink.  Black Nuvo drops add some dimension.  The sentiment is white embossed on black cardstock.

I am really happy with the final card.

Be well. Be creative.

One final entry for Altenew’s Inspiration Challenge!

Another entry for the Altenew Inspiration Challenge.

I had to play with the Wildflower Garden Set!  I forget about this set, but pulled it out of my stash recently!

I love using jar stamps on cards! This one is from Inkadinkado.  I started by creating a mask to outline the jar so the flower stems would remain inside the jar.  I stamped the images using the Sunkissed and Dew Drops sets from Altenew.  Once I completed the Bouquet, I stamped the jar image on a piece of frosted film from Tim Holtz and applied over the stems.  The jar lid is cut from silver cardstock and fussy cut.  I popped the lid up with foam tape. The sentiment from the Leaf Canopy Set is white heat embossed on teal cardstock. In assembling the card, I used a strip of the same teal cardstock on the left side for interest.

I hope you like my card! Be creative! Be well!

Altenew Inspiration Challenge Entry

Greeting Crafty Friends.  I have another entry for the Altenew Inspiration Challenge.  I am taking the newest Layering class on Altenew Academy and having a great time stretching my creativity.  Lydia used the Spring Rose Bouquet for one of the segments and I decided to try the orange/teal color combination.
