I am ready for spring. How about you? Today I am posting for CutCardStock using some spring color Lessebo Cardstock which just happens to be on sale in March! I was inspired by a plaid card posted by Caly Person recently.

I am loving all the springy colors of Lessebo Cardstock!
Create the Plaid Base
Use a Plaid Cover Die (Sizzix Die) to create the base plaid using White Cougar 100 lb. Cardstock. Select spring color cardstock to create the strips. I used Lessebo Amethyst, Bubblegum, Sunflower, Artic Blue cardstocks plus DCS Wild Salmon Cardstock. Use your paper trimmer to cut the various colors in strips approximately 1/4 inch thick. I started with panels 4.25 x 5.5 inches and sliced them diagonally.

Weave random color strip up and down over the cross bars. Once you are happy with the design, add a small drop of glue on top of and under the coordinating strips to secure. Once dry, trim the extra strips. Mount the plaid piece on an A2 Card base using Cougar 110 lb. Cardstock.
Create the Sentiment
Add double sided adhesive to an A2 Cougar 80 lb. Cardstock panel and line the extra strips up to cover the panel. Die cut your choice of sentiments. Mine is Paper Hugs from Simon Says Stamps. Cut two additional sentiments and stack for dimension.

Assemble the Card
Glue the sentiment on top of the plaid piece you already glued on your A2 card base. Sequins in coordinating colors finish the card! I used soft color sequins from This Calls for Confetti!
