Altenew July Monthly Release Build a Garden Tulip & Friends

Hello friends. Have you seen the Altenew Build a Garden Tulip and Friends set? I love this set. So many possibilities! This week I am participating in the Altenew July 2022 Marvelous Monthly Series Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes) with so many talented creators. The hop starts here. I have an overview video showing the three sets of cards I made here.

Check out the great variety of styles you can achieve with different inks!
The process video is here in case you'd rather watch the process:

I had so much fun playing with different colors for this one! Check out the dimension as this

card has a die cut front panel along with a debossed panel inside.

I stamped a few images first with Altenew Obsidian Black Pigment Ink on Classic Crest 80 lb. Cardstock. This ink is so crisp and sharp!

Start by inking the main tulips using three distinct color families. I used Golden Sunset, Pocketful of Sunshine, and Spring Bouquet. Stamp the leaf layers using Firefly, and Fresh Leaf inks. The smaller flowers and leaves are stamped last in colors that coordinate.

The final step to creating this panel is to use the coordinating layering stamp set to add the details. I love how the combination of stencils and stamps really accentuates the flowers.

Use the coordinating die to selectively cut the top border of the flowers. I fussy cut the edge. Use the Dotted Swirl Debossing plate the deboss an A2 white panel and attach to the inside of the card.

Ink blend the purple layers using the Enchanted Garden Ink family, and the yellow layers using the Pocketful of Sunshine Ink family. The green leaves are colored using Greens from the Spring Bouquet ink family. Use the coordinating fine stamps to add the details.

Die cut the floral blooms using the coordinating die. Use Black Obsidian Pigment Ink to stamp the sentiment on the card front, allowing space for the floral blooms. Deboss a piece of Classic Crest cardstock using the Dotted Line Debossing Die. Trim and attach to an A2 size piece of black cardstock before mounting on an A2 white cardbase.

The last card is a mini slimline card - a new favorite of mine. This time the tulips are inked with the Golden Sunset Inks, and the small flowers are inked with Eastern Sky from the Lapis Lazuli Ink family.  After adding the stamped details, trim the card panel to 3.0 by 5.75 inches and locate a cardstock that highlights the yellow. Trim that to 3.5 by 6.25 inches before mounting on a slimline base. I use 6.25 by 7.0 inch pieces of cardstock and score the long end at 3.5 inches.
