Altenew July 2022 Summer Love Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!)

Altenew has done it again! Another amazing stand-alone Embossing Folder Release! The fun starts here on the Altenew Blog. You should have arrived from Erum Tasneem's Blog. Be sure to stop at all the designers post and leave some love. Altenew is offering prizes. Deets below.

Today I am presenting an overview of the release and showing the cards I created for this release. I will be posting more technique videos this week over on my YouTube Channel called TerisMailbox

Check out the great variety of folders available!
I will share the cards I created using 4 of the folders released. Here are all the folders from this release:

Here is the overview video:

Here is the link in case the video isn't appearing: https://youtu.be/7SPjsQr7J5g.

Let's start with the Jungle Leaves Folder. I had a lot of fun playing with this folder and using my Gelli Plate for unique effects.

Check out the variety of techniques I was able to incorporate on these cards!

Next up is Sunshine Blossoms - another set using the Gelli Plate.

I am loving all the bright colors! Below are the backgrounds after using the Gelli Plate and embossing.

I will be posting technique videos using these two folders.

I ink blended some of the softer Altenew Inks in rainbow order on Classic Crest 80 lb. white cardstock. I used Citrus Burst, Misty Mint, Dew Drop, Ice Berg, Pink Diamond and Lavender Fields inks. What a soft blended effect. I trimmed the blended section down to 5 x 3.75 inches and attached to a 5.5 x 4.25 piece of the white cardstock and ran it through my die cut machine using the embossing folder.

The hearts are cut from black and holographic cardstock using the Envelope Liner Die Set.
The hello and sentiment strip are from the Hello and Hugs Die Set (one of my most used and favorite sets!).

I got totally out of my comfort zone on this one. I am a cool colors girl, but I thought I'd go for something in a different color pallet with the Playful Circles Embossing folder.

I started with Red Cosmos Gradient Cardstock. I trimmed the cardstock into a variety of widths and attached them to Classic Crest 80 lb. white cardstock using double sided wide adhesive tape. I trimmed the stripped piece down and attached to an A2 cardbase.

I used the Hanging Garden Die set and cut three sprigs out of the Classic Crest 80 lb. white cardstock. I glued them together and attached to the card front. The sentiment enjoy is from
the Envelope Liner Die Set.
