Layered Valentines Two Ways

Hello friends. Today I am hopping for CutCardStock in a Valentine's Day Hop. I am presenting two different rainbow cards using the HeroArts Mailbox Die set and lots of CutCardStock. The hop starts here.

We have a $40.00 gift card to CutCardStock. To be eligible. comment on each person's post along the way. A random winner will be drawn and announced on February 7th on CutCardStock's Facebook and Blog. CutCardstock – link up your project for 2 more entries (up to two uploads).

I have a video if you'd prefer to go there. Here is the link in case it is not showing.

Let's start with the fun shaker card!

I used some Holographic Cardstock from my stash for the mailbox and small hearts.

I started by cutting out LOTS of envelopes in primary and pastel colors.

The background on both cards was created by dry embossing 2 different heart stencils from SimonSaysStamps. I love embossing white cardstock to add texture to the background of any stamp.

I used a double stitched frame die from Poppy Stamps to cut the plaid frame with a Lawn Fawn Plaid, layered it with two frames and added to the embossed background.

I sprinkled the pastel envelopes and hearts inside the frame and covered with an acetate sleeve. Watch my video to see how not to make these sleeve shakers! I was hoping by layeringthe frames, the envelopes would freely move. They have a mind of their own and clump together at will. Oh well. I'm going with it!

The holographic mailbox was added next along with attaching to an A2 card base.

How about a primary color mailbox card? I am really not sure which one I like better. How about you?

The background is dry embossed like the first card. No shaker mishaps here!  I simply attached the blue mailbox white heat embossed with the word happy mail and added a waterfall of rainbow envelopes.

Be sure to check out the video for deets!
