Altenew February 2022 Islands in Space Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Greetings Crafty Friends. Having a great day today? I am thrilled to be participating in Altenew's new release Whimsical Flowers and two great marker sets! We have a Blog Hop with prizes starting HERE. You should have arrived from Virginia Lu's blog. Today's focus is on mini slim line cards.

I selected two images and used the Island Garden and Space Garden alcohol marker sets to color them. I love the bright colors!

After coloring the image, I highlighted the sentiment by creating a mask with the Nesting Slimline Label Die cut set. Once I centered the opening, I ink blended it with Distress Oxide ink. I used the metal die to trace the outline in Black Micron ink. I trimmed it down to the Mini Slimline Size. This image is perfect for this type of card as it has both the sentiment plus the border floral design.

The next card becomes a two-fer by splitting the panel in half!

Check out the different look created by changing the orientation of the panel. After coloring the panel with the gorgeous Island Garden and Space Garden Alcohol Markers, I split the panel in half and designed two very different cards.

This one is trimmed to 5.75 x 3 inches and mounted on blue cardstock using a landscape orientation.

This panel is mounted on a piece of white fun foam for dimension and attached to the left fold in a portrait orientation. Hello from the Bold Greetings is cut from blue cardstock and mounted so part of the sentiment overhangs the card base.

I have a video showing the process for these cards:
