This is a pretty common technique, but I stepped it up by using Curious Metallic Cryogen White Cardstock. Hard to see in the photo, it has a subtle shimmer that really adds to the elegance of this card.

I swiped the Turquoise ink cube, from the Deep Blue Seas set over the flat side of the embossing folder making sure to get a good layer. Insert the cardstock and dry emboss. I generally run the folder at least twice through the die cut machine to get a good image.

The image piece was trimmed to 4.0 x 5.25 in. and mounted on a 4.25 x 5.5 in piece of matching Curious Metallic Cardstock.

The Thanks Die is also cut using the Curious Metallic cardstock and stacked with 2 white die cut Thanks for dimension. A little splatter with silver acrylic paint and you are good to go.

Next up is the swiped embossed image. This one started on the Cryogen White Cardstock as well.

I used the small cubes from three different sets to color the blooms - Turquoise from The Deep Blue Seas set, Snapdragon from the Golden Sunset Mini Ink Cubes and Rouge from The Red Sunset set. The leaves are swiped with Just Green ink from The Green Meadows set.

After swiping all the ink, I wasn't happy with the end result as I had swiped ink on the background as well. Fussy Cutting to the rescue!. After cutting the blooms out, I glued it to another piece of Virtual Pearl Curious Metallic Cardstock cut to 4 x 5.25 inches which added a slight contrast. Note: I also embossed the base layer which made gluing the blooms much easier! This was attached to an A2 size piece of Stardream Metallic Lagoon Cardstock

I added a few copper colored splatters to the front and then discovered I have no matching metallic cardstock. To remedy this situation I created, I painted a piece of scrap cardstock with the metallic paint, layered it and die cut it with the hello die from the Hello and Hugs set.

The final card uses the Detailed Blending Brushes to add layers of color! This one started on Virtual Pearl Curious Metallic Cardstock. Can you tell I am on a kick with the metallic cardstock?

After embossing the image I colored it with the lighter inks from Enchanted Garden, Cherry Blossom and Pocketful of Sunshine mini ink sets. I used an alcohol marker to highlight the stamen on the yellow lily. The hello is from the Tiny Sentiments Hello Die, cut in gold sparkle paper and trimmed to show only the letters.

The image background was trimmed to 4 x 5.25 in. and mounted on a piece of matching gold sparkly paper. Gold acrylic paint added the sparkles!

I hope I have inspired to experiment with these techniques! Altenew makes the best 3D folders!
