Distress Ink Layered Floral Tag

Hello again my crafty friends. I hope you are doing well. Today I am posting for The Funkie Junkie Boutique. The Challenge this week is De-Stress with Distress. There is something about ink blending with Distress Oxide inks that I find so relaxing and I am having waaaay too much fun designing these tags based on the Bi-Monthly Challenge sponsored by The Funkie Junkie Boutique. There are prizes to be won! Be sure to check it out!

I am a cool color girl, so this ink blend is right up my alley. I have fallen for Tim Holtz's Floral Outline stamp from Stampers Anonymous. You can see the faint outlines of the stamp on the background of this tag too!

Check out the yummy cool background on this Etcetera Tag. I started with a piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock, trimmed to fit the tag.  I blended an ombre background starting with Blueprint Sketch, Prize Ribbon, Broken China and finally Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Inks. I love the way the Oxide Ink blends!

I then arranged the stamps in my Misti and spritzed with Silver Shimmer Spray. Check out how the shimmer spray catches the light!

Sizzix Floral Frame Impresslit provided the perfect focal point for this tag. Die cut twice and glued together for dimension, I love the way it looks with the two vellum ovals behind it.

Next up was watercolor stamping the floral images in Prize Ribbon, Salvaged Patina and Bundled Sage Distress Inks on Ranger Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I love the flow of the colors. I am posting cards made from the leftover floral bunches on my Instagram and Facebook Accounts.

After fussy cutting, they were arranged on the tag.

Last step was to created the sentiments. Blessed is cut from Prize Ribbon ink blended cardstock using the Sizzix Upper and Lower Case Alpha-numeric Shadow Dies.  I used just the are the curious from a Tiny Text stamp after trimming off the word Blessed. Heat embossed in silver, it is a perfect embellishment.

I have a video on my YouTube channel as well:

I hope you have enjoyed your stop on my blog. I'd love to have you follow/subscribe on my social media sites Instagram, Facebook, Blogger and You Tube.  Be well. Be creative!
