Hello again friends. Welcome to my second post for TaylorMadeCards4U this month! There are so many great digital images available here! I just love the muted colors and vintage feel of the Mrs. Darby digital kit. Today I am covering the two cards on the left. The cards on the left were covered in another video here: https://youtu.be/8adIfh7Kko0.
Lets work from the base to the top layer. The A2 base is made with Cougar 80 lb. Natural Cardstock, ink blended around the edges with Broken China Distress ink. Next is one of the A2 backgrounds from the kit Deckle edge trimmed. The next layer is a smaller card from the kit. I loved the teal border detail! The color on the lady's dress and hat was achieved with Broken China Distress Gaze. Her calling card is included in the kit. The quote card is from the Sweetheart Pockets digital kit.
I love the finished card!
The last card has a Parisian feel to it! As with the other cards, this one started with the A2 base provided in the digital kit. The A2 base was ink blended with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. One of the A2 bases was attached after inking the edges with Vintage Photo ink. I stamped the Eiffel Tower and Paris on Cougar 80 lb Natural CardStock using a stamp set by Tim Holtz.
The postcards are included in the kit. I used Vintage Photo Distress ink on the card base, the two images and the Eiffel Tower.
Lastly, I die cut and colored the butterfly image using a Sizzix die cut. After inking, the butterfly was glued to the card in the center only to provide dimension.
Here is the video outlining the creation of these cards. Enjoy!
I hope I have inspired you to use vintage images to create cards!
