Altenew 6th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 1 + Giveaway

Greetings Crafty Friends from Ohio! I am thrilled to be participating in the 6th Anniversary blog with Altenew!  You should have arrived from Soraya Mayes blog.  The hop begins on the Altenew blog.

I have been on a kick lately where I chose a stamp set and make multiple cards with it. Today's hop features the Delicate Primrose stamp with four unique cards. Warning: This is a photo heavy post. I just couldn't help myself!

Here is the first card I created.  I made a stencil using the Ornate Cover Die and dry embossed a piece of white Neenah cardstock.  After centering the stencil over the embossed piece, I ink blended Golden Sunset ink on the piece. The center has a deeper color, fanning out to the edges. This piece was trimmed to 3.75 x 5 inches.

The Delicate Primrose is a new stamp set for me.  I love the details and the ease of layered stamping!
I used 5.5 x 11.5 inch pieces of Neenah cardstock and stamped multiple images on the sheets.  I used ink pads from the Golden Sunset, Deep Blue Seas and Green Valley sets for the flowers and leaves. I added a pop of yellow WOW embossing powder for the final flower center layer.  I stamped multiple images that in the end allowed me to create four cards using the same color theme.

Check out the video below for the complete tutorial.

Once the flowers and leaves were cut out, I focused on the vase.  I used the larger vase from The Mod Vase die set and cut one from watercolor paper.  The Turquoise waterbrush from the Tropical brush set was the perfect hue for the water.  Once dry, I added the sentiment from the same stamp set and used a Micron 0.3 black pen to draw the lines around the vase.

I mounted the gold paper on the A2 base, followed by the embossed piece.  Arranging the flowers was the easy last step!

The next card used the Dotted Diamonds background stamp for the base.

The flowers were arranged in opposite corners.  I popped up the yellow flower with foam tape for dimension.

The sentiment is from the Fancy Greetings set.

The card was assembled on an A2 base with a light blue piece to highlight it.

This is a happy card that started with the yellow base on an A2 card.  The Watercolor Stripes Die provided the blue splattered base for the flowers.

The vase was stamped with an image from the Versatile Vase stamp set and watercolored with the Turquoise Waterbrush.

The card was assembled with the small blue flower popped up for dimension.  The Thank You is from another Altenew set in my stash.

The final card started with a piece of Neenah cardstock dry embossed and ink blended with Turquoise ink.  The blue piece is also ink blended with the same ink. I lined the 2 pieces up so the design would be continuous.

The vase from the Mod vases Die set is cut from Neenah cardstock. I used alcohol markers to add the diagonal stripes.

The blue piece was attached to the A2 white base.  The embossed piece was mounted on a piece of Fun Foam. I added the banner with the sentiment from The More Than Words set.  The final step was to add the vase and a single yellow flower popped up with foam tape.
