I am teaching an Altenew class at The Paper Cottage on Saturday May 4

I am so excited to be teaching an Altenew card class at The Paper Cottage 1490 N. Fairfield Rd. Beavercreek, Ohio on Saturday May 4th from 1 to 4 pm.  We will be using different techniques including ink blending, masking, embossing with stencils and shaker cards.  Here are the cards we will be making:

Hero Arts Embossing Challenge

Hello Craft Friends!

This month's challenge is embossing!  I've got that covered!  This Mandela stamp from Hero Arts is one of my all time favorites!  I use it all the time!

I white heat embossed the stamp on a piece of Cougar paper, and blended distress ink in an Ombre fashion.  I also ink blended the edges of the card base to match the main section of the card.  The sentiment is from a set in my stash!

Shadow Card Jennifer McGuie style

Oh my gosh, I was so excited to see Jennifer’s recent video demonstrating how to make this sweet shadow card! It is so easy to measure and assemble! Check it out on her blog.

This one will be entered in Simon Says Wednesday Challenge this week.  I used the bike die and floral, kitty and sentiment stamps from Simon Says Stamps.  The baloons are from Tim Holtz’s Crazy Bird Accessory set.  I love her idea of adding floating elements (baloons) in the center with an acetate strip.
