Hello friends. It is Teri with TerisMailbox posting for CutCardStock. Today I am sharing how to create two colorful cards using one stencil set and dies.

Create the Stenciled Background
Cougar 80 lb. White Cardstock is my go-to for stenciling! It is super smooth and blends inks beautifully! This is the Butterfly Garden Craft Your Life kit from Altenew. First, use the cover die to die cut the butterflies and leaves. Carefully remove the die cut panel keeping as amany of the dies intact on the base. Lay the panel on a stick mat, replacing the butterflies and leaves in their coordinating places.

Use bright colors of ink to fill in the open areas on the stencil with a blending tool. Use the stencil set in order to add layers of color. Once completed, pop the butterflies and leaves out.
Add Glossy Accents to the edges of the butterflies and dip into Rock Candy Glitter to add sparkle. Set aside to dry. Once completely dry, use a score board to create the fold in the center of the butterflies.
It is Time to Make the Base Panels
Use two A2 White Panels for the bases. Use the embossing folder to create the first panel. Add color by using a green ink pad to add color by running the pad over the embossed top lightly. Be sure to keep the ink pad leval as you do not want to color the background, only the raised areas.

Use a stamping platform to stamp the jar on Savoy 100% Cotton Cardstock using Versafine Embossing Ink and Clear Embossing Powder. Use a brush to add the water using Distress Inks. Once dry, stamp a few stems inside the jar and emboss the sentiment over the top.

Assemble the Cards
Using 110 lb. Cougar White Cardstock, create two A2 bases. This cardstock is extremely sturdy and provides and excellent base for the cards.
Attach the embossed card base to one of the A2 bases. Add a sentiment of choice. Select a few butterflies and attach randomly.

For the second card, trim a piece of Grape Jelly Cardstock to 4.25 x 5.5 inches and attach to the A2 card base. Trim the watercolored panel to 4.0 x 5.25 inches and center on the purple panel. Select a few butterflies and glue randomly to the base.

I hope you enjoyed my post today. I challenge you to select a coordinated set from you stash and use it in unique ways to create a variety of cards. Also, take a moment to check out all the wonderful paper CutCardStock has in stock. Their customer service is amazing! Be well. Be creative.
