Hello friends. Today I am posting for CutCardStock. Today I am sharing a fall floral card using Translucent Vellum and Copic Markers. I love how the vellum gives the flowers a soft appearance.

Start with an A2 size panel of 105 lb. Translucent Vellum. Stamp with a floral arrangement using alcohol compatible ink. Use alcohol markers to color the images in colors of fall. Once the panel is done and dry, mount the panel on a section of colored cardstock to add a pop of color. I used Lessebo Sunset Orange Cardstock. I love how it provides an overall soft color to the flowers and leaves! Here is a hint for attaching vellum. Since glue or tape with show through, use larger double-sided tape or adhesive sheets to attach the panel.

See the soft yellow gold color popping through?
Assemble the Card
Select another color that coordinates well with the bloom colors. Canvas Textured Ginger Snap Cardstock added the contrast I was looking for. Trim the cardstock to 4.25 x 5.0 inches. Attach the floral panel and center it on the Ginger Snap Cardstock. Use Environment Desert Storm Cardstock for the card base.

Add the Finishing Touches
Once the card is completely assembled, it need a couple of finishing touches. Select a sentiment and stamp on the vellum using an Archival Ink. Dye ink may not dry completely leading to a smudged sentiment. I love to splatter my creations! Use a Black Gesso or acryllic paint to add the splatter. I used a brush meant for adding lines on the paper meaning it is quite thin and longer than a regular brush. I thin the paint or gesso with water so it will create a fine spray.
