All is Calm, All is Bright Pastel Post Holiday Card

Hello friends. Today I am posting for CutCardStock. As the holidays wind down, sometimes we need some peace and quiet in our lives. I am sharing this pastel post-holiday card.

Create the Post Holiday Trees

Start with the Waffle Flower Triangle Trees Dies. Cut a variety of trees using some gorgeous pastel Pop Tone Card Stock. I used Spearmint, Grapesicle, Berrylicious and Cotton Candy.

After die cutting, place the trees back into the template for easy inking. Use coordinating inks to create an Ombre effect. Start with a medium color ink slightly darker than the base and ink the center section using your blending tool of choice. Ink the bottom of the trees using a slightly darker coordinating color. Repeat this process for all trees.

Use Tim Holtz's stencil TH93 and center on each tree, one at a time. Use a spatula plus Sparkle past to add the sparkles to the trees. Set aside to dry.

Create the Base

Using an A2 size Cougar 80 lb. white card panel, create the background for the trees. Ink blend Tumbled Glass, Kitch Flamingo and Shaded Lilac in rows across the landscape orientation.

Assemble the Card

Tear a scrap piece of Cougar 80 lb. white cardstock to create the snowy hill. Attach to the bottom of the card base.

Select a number of trees to create a grouping on the card front. Starting at the left side, attach the trees so they overlap some. Use foam tape to pop up a couple of the smaller trees for the front row.

Select your sentiment from the Waffle Flower Triangle Trees stamp set. Use Versamark Embossing ink plus silver embossing powder to add the sentiment.

Attach the panel to an A2 card base using Cougar White 100 lb. Cardstock.
