Fall Colors - Embossing Folder 4 Ways

Hello friends. Today I am adding Fall colors and posting for the Funkie Junkie Boutique! Check out how I used the Acorn 3D Embossing Folder (one of my favs) and changed it up with different products!

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year with it's cooler temperatures and bright colors.

I have a video here is you'd prefer to see the process; https://youtu.be/H5zQT_nPjhU

The first card uses a Mica Spray Stain Background to begin with.

Run the Mica panel through your embossing tool using the Acorns 3D Embossing Folder. Run a Ground Expresso Archival Ink Pad over the top to make the images pop!

Create the Sentiment Strip by stamping the selected saying from the Natures Wonder Stamp set in Vintage Photo Distress ink and covering with Vintage Photo Embossing Glaze. Use a small leaf from the same set and heat emboss using the glaze as well.

Trim the panel to 3.75 x 5 inches and add to a Kraft base. Add a few layers to the sentiment strip and attach. Use small foam dots to pop the leaf up on the edge of the sentiment strip.

The next card uses Seedless Preserves, Spiced Marmalade and Olive Embossing Glazes to cover the embossed base.

Coat the embossed base with Embossing Ink and sprinkle the glazes over the top. I focused on the leaves with Olive Embossing Glaze, Orange for the Acorns and Seedless Preserves to fill in the blanks. Tap your fingers underneath the panel to distribute the Glaze. Tap the excess party mix off onto a paper scrap and add back to the panel to fill in the blanks. Tap again, and dispose of the mixture.

Use Ground Expresso Distress Crayon to darken the background and fill in any gaps. Rub the crayon on your craft mat, add water and coat the background using a stencil brush.

Identify the best, most complete branch with acorns. Fussy cut that out along with an additional complete leaf. Cut a panel strip to 1 3/4 inches.

Attach the panel and leaves to a Kraft A2 card base.

Use the Note Quotes set to create three unique sayings for this and the next two cards.  The sentiment for this card was embossed in Seedless Preserves Embossing Glaze. Use a circle die to cut the sentiment out and attach over the panel strip.

Next card uses Embossing Glazes to color the embossed images.

After embossing the panel, swipe the top with and embossing ink pad and add Olive and Peeled Paing Embossing Glaze to the leaves. Use a flat paintbrush to clear the powder from the background prior to heating.

Use a Distress Embossing Marker to color the acorns and the branches. Add Vintage Photo Embossing Glaze to the branches and Acorns, brushing away the excess powder prior to heat setting.

Rub a Shabby Shutters Distress Ink pad on the flat half of the folder. Add one quick spritz of water.  Insert the embossed panel back into the folder matching up the embossed images. Run through your die cutting machine.

Add twine the bottom of the embossed panel after trimming to 3 3/4 x 5 inches and knot. Use one of the circular sentiments created earlier and add to the card front.

The final card uses a debossing effect to color the panel.

Prior to embossing, rub a Shabby Shutters ink pad on the raised leaves on the embossing folder and run through your machine as usual.

Add a little water to a spray of brown Mica Spray Use a fine brush to outline the branches and fill in the acorns.

Smoosh Carved Pumpkin Distress Ink onto the Craft mat, add some water and add splatters to the card front.

Trim the panel to 3 3/4 x 5 inches and add to a Kraft base. Add the final circle sentiment with a curve of twine behind to finish the card.

I hope you enjoyed seeing different ways to use a single folder! Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'd love to have you follow/subscribe on my social media sites Instagram, Facebook, Blogger and YouTube all named TerisMailbox. Be well. Be creative!
