Snowflake Embossed Shaker Card

Hello again friends. I'm sharing another sparkly snowflake embossed shaker card using Lagoon Stardream Metallic for CutCardStock. This one has embossed snowflakes and a shaker element.

Check out how the Stardream Metallic picks up the shine from the shaker bits!

Create the Card Base

Trim a piece of the Lagoon Stardream Metallic Cardstock to 4.25 x 5 inches. Select a large circle die, center it and cut the opening. Run the Stardream Metallic through your diecut machine of choice using a snowflake embossing folder.

Create an A2 card base with Cougar 100 lb. White Cardstock. This has become my go-to cardstock. I love the weight and it ink blends and stamps so well.

Create the Shaker Portion

Cut a piece of the Cougar Cardstock into a square slightly larger than the circle opening. Using your tape runner, attach a piece of clear packaging forming an envelope around the square. Lay the square face down so you can wrap the packaging around three sides. You will need to cut the corners to get a good seal. Insert sparkly sequins and other sparkly bits into the envelope and seal.

Run tape adhesive around the circle and all the edges of the A2 cardbase. Attach the shaker to the base.

Create the Focal Snowflake and Sentiment

Using the Bigz Snowfalke Die from Sizzix, create the snowflake embellishment. Die cut the sentiment using Lagoon Stardream Metallic Cardstock, and the shadow with Cougar 100 lb. cardstock.

Complete the Card

Center and attach the snowflake over the circle opening and add the sentiment at the bottom of the card front.

Don’t forget the Envelope

Using the same embossing folder, insert the envelope flap into the embossing folder and warp the envelope base around the embossing folder. Run through the die cutting machine to emboss. I used a Basis Aqua A2 Envelope.
