Icy Cold Layered Etcetera Tag

Hello friends! I am posting another Etcetera Tag for The Funkie Junkie Boutique. When I joined the Design Team last year, I started doing a series of Etcetera Tags and here I am again with #2 for this year. The challenge theme is Icy and Cold. Check out The Funkie Junkie Boutique Challenge Blog for deets.

This fits right in with my love of cool colors. Not really a snow person!
I have a video here to show you the process. Click the Here for link if video isn't showing.

The first thing I did was to take a piece of Yupo and add alcohol inks in layers by dripping on the colors (mostly blues), adding 90% alcohol and using the hand blower to distribute the colors. I set aside the piece to dry when I was happy with the colors and started die cutting the pieces for the Sizzix Winston Snowman from Distress Watercolor Paper.

I ink smooshed all the water color layers and once dry, I assembled Winston. I did add additional layers to deepen the colors on some pieces.

Isn't Winton cute? His buttons are watercolor paper colored with black alcohol ink and a layer of Nuvo Glaze for dimension.

Once I had all the pieces and parts. I used Collage Medium and a brayer to attach the alcohol ink piece to the Etcetera Tag painted with Gesso and let that dry before adding all the layers.

I staggered the trees to create more of a forest effect. Winston was the last piece of this fun tag. After adding him, I snagged a couple of the sentiment stickers from the Occasions set, glued them on and coated with Nuvo Glaze.
