Vintage Holiday Cards

Holiday Greetings my friends! Sharing some fun Vintage Holiday Cards for The Funkie Junkie Boutique. These gnomes from the Stampers Anonymous Cozy Christmas Stamp set just called out to me. We do not have a challenge this month. Instead we are posting holiday inspiration for you.

We'll start with the clean stamped card first! Use a stamp platform to maintain the piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock in the same place as we are going to stamp the colors seperately.

Use the corner of the Distress Ink Pads to color a specific area of the stamp and stamp the image. Be sure the card base is securely attached to your platform before you begin stamping. Rustic Wilderness is a perfect green for these branches.

Clean the stamp and select the next ink color. I used Prize Ribbon for the Ornament, Festive Berries for the Gnome and Fired Brick for the Berries.

I love all the bright colors on this. I decided to ink smoosh the background using Old Paper Distress Ink to give it a little age and decrease the brightness. I also inked up and stamp the Music Stamp from Music and Advert set with Vintage Photo Distress ink and wiped some sections clean before stamping to add a little texture.

I also inked up and stamp the Music Stamp from Music and Advert set with Vintage Photo Distress ink and wiped some sections clean before stamping to add a little texture.

The sentiment is from the Bold Tidings Mini Stamps stamped with Black Soot Archival Ink. The base is cut using the Deckle Edge Trimmer and mounted on a holiday cardstock from Ideology.

The next card has even more of a vintage vibe.

The final card is colored with Watercolor markers instead of stamping.

This one started with stamping the image with Hickory Smoke Archival ink.

  1. All three of your cards inspire me to get out my yet un-used Cozy Christmas Stamp set that I just had to have for the sentiments! LOL! The deckle edge adds even more vintage charm to these lovely cards! Merry Christmas and many thanks for the inspiration!
