I am thrilled to be part of this fun hop featuring the newest Craft Your Life kit: Vintage Tapestry from Altenew. I am a big fan of all things vintage and this kit certainly is a grand example. You can start the hop on the Altenew Card Blog. If you are following the hop, you should have arrived from the super talented Erum Tasneem's blog.
Vintage beauty in a classic style! Create gorgeous vintage print-inspired projects using this Vintage Tapestry kit! This kit contains a beautiful 3-dimensional embossing folder, a 6x8 layering stamp set, a 4-piece layering stencil set, and a matching die set to cut all the pieces from the stamp set and the layering stencil set.
The stencil set in this one is amazing! I had so much fun creating these vines using the Tranquility and Fall Harvest Ink sets. After the flower vines were stenciled, I die cut them with the coordinating die. I started the base with a mini slimline card base (3.5 x 6.25) cut from Cougar 80 lb. Natural Cardstock. The background is a piece of watercolor cardstock trimmed to be 1/4 in smaller all around. I used the deepest blue from the Tranquility set, smooshed on my craft mat and picked up with a wet watercolor bush to create a line near the top of the watercolor piece. I continued to add ink and water to get the ink to form drips down the base. I added splatters with the Fall Harvest and Tranquility inks.
We needed a little bling here, so I covered the flower center on the left with Glossy Accents and added some bling from my stash!
I love the sweetness of this fun layered card. I cut a piece of Cougar 80 lb. White Cardstock to 4.0 by 5.25 inches and used my Dotted Lines Debossing Cover Die to add texture.
The So Grateful sentiment from the Essential Sentiment set is cut from the same gold cardstock and applied after the circle of flowers was added.
I attached the frame cover to an A2 cardbase and arranged the roses and leaves on top. The sentiment is stamped using a sentiment stamp from the Vintage Tapestry Stamp set.
