Easy Rainbow Happy Birthday Cards

Hello friends. We all need a stash of Birthday Cards. Today I am posting for CutCardStock. They have an amazing assortment of bright cardstock, perfect for cheerful birthday cards!

Die Cut the Balloons

This card was created using a die set from Concord and Ninth that included both the vertical sentiment plus the balloons.

Check the variety of bright cardstock available at CutCardStock! Start by die cutting the balloons. Choose your bright colors and cut the balloons. Here is a list of all the cardstocks used for today's cards: Lessebo Sunflower, Lessebo Brick Orange, Pop Tone Razzleberry, Pop Tone Blue Raspberry, Pop Tone Limeade, Basis Light Yellow and Pop Tone Grape Jelly. I die cut one of each color for the balloons. I separated the balloons by colors with the cool and warm colors in different small bins.

The balloon die cut contains both outlines and balloon shapes. You will need to fussy cut the solid balloons on the colored die cuts. Die cut two black balloon outlines with Pop Tone Black Licorice Cardstock plus one white outline. The black and white die cuts are your base and guide to add the balloons.

Die Cut the Birthday Sentiments

Die cut three sentiments using Pop Tone Black Licorice, Black Glitter Cardstock and DCS White Glitter Cardstock. Additional white die cuts adds dimension to the white glitter sentiment.

Assemble the Cards

Start with A2 size Cougar 110 lb. Cardstock bases. Attach an A2 size Basis Light Yellow panel to the third card base. Glue the white balloon outline on the yellow base and the black outlines to the other two bases.

Start filling in the balloons by gluing matching images over the solid black balloons. Trim additional balloons and fit the pieces into the outlines. Use the green, blue and purple balloons on the card with the black cardstock, the orange, pink and yellow balloons on the card with the yellow panel and the remainder of the balloons on the second card with the black outlines.

Glue the Black Glitter sentiment on the card with the rainbow balloons, the black sentiment on the card with cool colors and the white sentiment on the card with the yellow base. Use a white gel pen to add a highlight to the upper left area of the balloons.

I can't decide which card is my favorite. Which card is your favorite?
