I love making framed items for my cards! Hello, it is Teri posting for CutCardStock. Their metallic cardstock is perfect for creating embossed mini frames! So many possibilities!

Check out all the texture!
Create the Mini Frames
Altenew's Frozen Moments set has the sweetest frame embossing folder and coordinating dies.
Start by die cutting the frame shapes. For this card I used Stardream Metallic Gold Cardstock. While I was creating frames, I also used Cougar 110 lb. White Cardstock, Lessebo Pitch Black Cardstock as well as Stardream Metallic Silver Cardstock to create a frame stash.

After die cutting the frame bases, line them up with the embossing folder and run through your die cutting machine. Cut additional base frames to glue to the embossed frames for strength. Note the bottom frame does not need to be embossed.
Create the Focal Images
Select images to insert into the frames. I used a Stampers Anonymous small floral die, stamped with Memento ink so I could watercolor the images. To make the stamping easier, use a sticky mat to hold the frame die cut insides, while stamping and watercoloring. Use watercolor markers such as Zig markers to color the blooms and leaves.

Create the Background
Create texture by embossing a Pop Tone Black Licorice A2 panel using Altenew's Organic Linen Embossing Folder. Add a small amount of Gold Solar Paste to your finger and run lightly over the embossed panel to add gold to the positive embossed areas.

Assemble the Card
Attach the black embossed base to an A2 card base made with 110 lb. Cougar White Cardstock. This is my favorite for card bases as the cards stand up nicely for display. Attach the frames to the base using a very thin strip of foam tape to pop the frames up.

Pop the floral images into the frames and attach with glue.
Choose a sentiment to die cut twice, stack and attach to the center of the cardfront.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Be sure to check out all the fun metallic cardstock available from CutCardstock! Be well. Be creative.
