Have you tried stencils on Stardream Metallic Cardstock? It adds a great shine to your cards. It is Teri with TerisMailbox posting today for CutCardStock.

Check out the difference when the background is inked.
Create the Base Panel
Start with two A2 size panels of Stardream Metallic Crystal White Cardstock. Select a 3D embossing folder with a large floral image that has matching layered stencils. I am using Altenew's Sunshine Flowers embossing folder and stencils.

After running the panel through a die cut machine inside the embossing folder, use the stencils to color the blooms and leaves. I used Salvaged Patina and Wilted Violet for the blooms.
Assemble the Panels
Cut a piece of Lessebo Splash Cardstock to A2 size. Trim the Stardream Metallic Panel to 4.0 x 5.25 inches. Use a tape runner to attach the Stardream panel to the Splash panel. Attach the panels to an A2 card base made with Cougar 110 lb. White Cardstock. I trim and score my own card bases with 110 lb. Cougar Cardstock.
You will need a die cut sentiment to complete this card. I used Altenew's Sweet Sentiment Die Set. The sentiment is cut using White Cougar Cardstock with the shadow cut using Pop-Tone Black Licorice Cardstock.
Change the Background for a New Look
Check out what happens when you use the "Black-out" technique to color the background of the stencil.

The background takes on a speckly appearance due to the Stardream Metallic Cardstock.

Create the Base Panel
Start with an A2 size panel cut with Stardream Metallic Crystal White Cardstock. Use Scattered Straw Distress Ink to ink the flat side of the embossing folder and run through your die cutting machine with the appropriate plates. Open the folder, leaving the panel inside and reink the background. Run through the die cutting machine again for more depth of color. Use a heat tool to dry the panel prior to stenciling.
Use Wild Honey, Dried Marigold and Picked Raspberry to color the blooms. Color the leaves with green inks.
Assemble the Card
Use Royal Sundance Kraft Cardstock for the A2 cardbase. I purchase packages of the cardstocks and cut and score my own.
Trim the inked panel to 4.0 x 5.25 inches. Use a tape runner to attach to the card base.

Emboss a sentiment from Altenew's Classic Greeting set. Die cut and attach to the card front.
