Hello Friends. Today I am posting for CutCardStock! I am getting ready for the holidays. How about you? I had so much fun with these Spellbinder’s holiday die cuts and embossing folder! I am sharing both a Mini slimline and an A2 card.
Let’s create the base panel first. Use Spellbinders Holiday Flourish Embossing folder to emboss a Cougar 100 lb. White slimline panel and a Leesebo Hunter Green A2 panel. For the green panel, run a gold pigment ink pad over the raised area. Do not press hard. The goal is to color the vines. Use a Hunter Green Ink pad and repeat on the white panel. Add red stickles over all the berries on the white panel and over random berries on the green panel. Set aside to dry.
Use Die Cuts for Focal Image
Use the St. Nick Etched Dies from the Home for the Holidays Collection by Spellbinders. There are multiple pieces to cut out. I use small trays to collect the different pieces for easy assembly later. Use Opulent Opal glitter cardstock for the beard and mustache, the cuffs and the dress trim as well as the hat brim and ball on the Mini Simline Card. Use Cougar Natural 80 lb for the same pieces on the green card.
Lessebo Hunter Green is perfect for the trees. Stardream Metallic Antique Gold is perfect to the buckle and the lantern.
Lessebo Dawn Maroon is the perfect Holiday Red for the dress and hats. Of course you need Lessebo Pitch Black for the gloves, boots and belt.
Assemble the Die Cut Santas
Once you have all the pieces cut and sorted, it is time to assemble them! Hint: watch where you place Santa’s head and beard as the dies can become very tall!
Assemble the Cards
Attach the slimline embossed panel to Hunter Green Leesebo Cardstock that is the same dimensions as the Mini Slimline base (6 3/8 x 3.5 inches). Arrange the completed Santa on the front along with an embossed sentiment!
Repeat for the second card using an A2 card base.
