Interactive Fall Leaf Card

Hello friends. Today I am posting for CutCardstock. I am sharing a fun interactive fall leaf card inspired by Gina K. She has a video plus template on her YouTube Channel.

Today I am using Brown, Orange and Gold Cardstock all of which is on sale this month!

Create the Fall Leaves

Select a die and stamp set that are medium size (at least 2 1/4 inches wide). Stamp and emboss with Copper Embossing powder on Lessebo Coffee Bean, Brick and Sunset Cardstocks. I used an older Stampendous Stamp and Die set from my stash.

Ink blend a combination of Crackling Campfire, Wild Honey and Fired Brick Distress Inks on the cut outs to add additional interest and color! Use the coordinating die to die cut.

Create the Fall Leaf Panel

Stamp and emboss an A2 panel of Royal Sundance Fiber Kraft Cardstock with the same Copper Embossing Powder using a fall leaf background stamp. I used an older stamp from Penny Black called Autumn Dance. Use the Tonic Deckle Edge trimmer to cut to 4.0 x 5.25.

Attach to a Brick Panel 4.25 x 5.25. Attach the panel to a card base made of Royal Sundance Kraft Cardstock.

Create the Interactive Mechanism

The dark brown strip is the actual mechanism for the waterfall. The Leesebo cardstock is a perfect weight!

Once the strip is cut and scored according to the template, it is time to assemble the card! I encourage you to go to Gina's YouTube channel to watch the video and print the template!

Assemble the Card

Attach the mechanism to the front of the Kraft Panel. Attach each leaf just below the score lines, making sure the leaves flip when the bottom strip is pulled.

Using the Copper Embossing Powder, stamp three small sentiments to attach to each flipping leaf. Trim and attach to the top of the leaves. Trim the top lower section of the mechanism to hide it below the lower leaf. Use a Ranger Embossing Pen to draw a down arrow on the lower right section of the visible tab and emboss with the Copper Powder.
