Loose Watercolored Embossing Folders

I am back today to present two more cards for the May Altenew Inspiration Challenge.

The bright colors in this challenge caught my eye. I am using a technique I recently published in a YouTube video.

I used very similar techniques on both cards.

Start by embossing the Bewitching Rose Embossing Folder onto watercolor paper. Use Altenew's Tickled Pink, Tangerine Dream, Fresh Lemon and Parrot inks. Swipe the ink pads over the embossed image and use the pad corners to reach small areas.

Once you are happy with the image, spritz water over the panel and let the magic occur. Mop up the extra water on the rose where it collects and has a green cast. Use your heat tool to dry the image.

Once dry, use Altenew's Watercolor Pencils to color the berries and add a dot of color to the yellow flowers.

Trim the panel to 3.75 x 5.0 images centering the floral images. Mount on a black A2 panel and then on an A2 card base. Add a sentiment from the One Go sets, stamped in black, mounted on black cardstock.

The image on the second card is much lighter as I used a different technique.

Start by using a small blending tool and adding ink to the debossed areas on the folder with the same inks as above. Spritz the image and run through your machine of choice sandwiched in the same embossing folder.

You can dry the panel and swipe additional ink over the image to brighten it. Use Altenew's Watercolor Pencils to color the berries and the flower centers.

Trim the panel to 3.75 x 5.0 inches. Mount on an A2 black panel and then mount on an A2 card base. Add another sentiment from the One Go Sentiment set and you are good to go! I do love the drama created when adding black cardstock panels!
