Hello friends! It is Teri with TerisMailbox posting for CutCardStock. I had too much fun with a BetterPress Plate on Savoy 100% Cotton Cardstock with a Vellum topper! I love how the vellum blurs the image below!
Create the Card Panel
Start with an A2 size 100% Cotton Savoy Cardstock. This is the best cardstock for letterpress techniques. I have also used it for watercolor! Prepare your Spellbinders BetterPress Plate. Center the plate on the base and ink the plate using Archival Inks. Archival Inks work better on these plates than dye inks which tend to bead up on the plate. I used warm colors ranging from yellow to pinks. Add the top plate and run through your coordinating die cut machine. Love how this one turned out!
Create the Additional Pieces
Cut an A2 panel using Translucent Glama 105 lb. Cardstock. Die cut an oval in the center to create the Vellum Panel.
Die cut your sentiment of choice from gold cardstock. I used a piece from my stash. Gold Stardream Metallic would be a great choice. Choose a sentiment with a shadow. The Translucent Vellum is perfect for fun shadows. This vellum is also perfect for embossed techniques as well.
Assemble the Card
Assembly is quick and easy for this card. Use 110 lb. Cougar White Cardstock. I buy the cardstock in reams, trim to A2 panel size and score in the center. I find this the most economical system.
Attach the floral panel to the Cougar card base followed by the Vellum Panel. Use foam tape to pop the sentiment up. Add some gold bling and you are ready to go!
