Hello friends. I am happy to present this fun interactive Easter Card for The Funkie Junkie Boutique!
This is such a cute card! Even cuter when standing!
I have a complete video documenting the process HERE:
Do the Die Cutting
The new Vault Bunny and Chicks Die set is sooo cute! Start by die cutting the Wildflowers from watercolor cardstock and using Distress Watercolor Pencils to add color. Hint: Leave the blooms in the negative space to allow easy coloring!
Choose 2 shades of pink plus white and black cardstock for the Bunnies. Once Die Cut, glue together and edge with Lost Shadow ink.
Create a few eggs using different types of white cardstock. Glue the layers together and splatter with Speckled Egg Distress Ink.
Create the Card Base
Create the card base using 2 5.5 inch x 8.5 inches pieces of white cardstock. Overlap the two pieces over the center section and die cut an oval window in both pieces. Use the front panel as a template, lining up an A2 panel of Mixed Media Heavy Stock. Die cut another Oval piece.
Fold the card bases so you have an oval on top and in the middle of the card. Trim the right full panel to 1/4 inch and use red tape to attach so the ovals line up.
Use Intertwine Embossing Folder to impress on the A2 Heavy Stock A2 panel. Smooch Tea Die Distress Ink on your craft mat and smoosh the embossed piece in the ink to add color.
Once dry use Collage Medium to attach to the card base.
Assemble the Card
Start by centering a few blooms, a bunny and an egg on the center panel. I drew a faint pencil line outlining the oval prior to adding any pieces.
Trim any stems that overhang the base.
Next add the wildflowers, bunny and egg to the right closed panel, arranging so you see the second layer.
The last step is add another wildflower (I used the large daisy like image in addition to a third bunny and egg)
Add Sentiments
Using Black Ink of your choice, stamp Happy Easter and hippity hop on White cardstock. Trim Happy Easter into a banner shape adding two additional cardstock layers for depth. Glue to the lower front section.
Trim the hippity hop so the banner runs the width of the center panel. Glue in place.
