Textured Beachy Card!

August is beach month in my mind, so let’s go to the beach. Today I am posting this fun layered beach card for CutCardStock!

Check out all the fun layers!

Create the Background

Start with an A2 size piece of light Blue Cardstock. CutCardStock has several possibilities. Use embossing ink to stamp the Nautilus Background stamp from Hero Arts. Add Pearlescent Embossing Powder and heat emboss. Look at that great sparkle!

Create the Shells

Die cut a set of shells using 80 lb. Natural Cougar Cardstock and the Hero Arts Fancy Die-Shells. Use a Coral colored ink to blend a little color on the outside of the shells.

Create the Sandy Shores

Use Royal Sundance Kraft Cardstock to create the sandy layers. Start with an A2 piece of kraft cardstock and tear a hill, making sure the torn edge is up. You may have enough left over to tear the second shorter hill. Stamp the bubbles using Stampers Anonymous Bubbles Stamp. You only want to stamp the torn edge with embossing ink and add white embossing powder. heat set the bubbles. Use your embossing ink pad to swipe the torn edges and add Hero Arts Sand Embossing Powder. Heat set.

Create the Card Base

Attach the blue cardstock to the inside of an A2 white card base made with Cougar 100 lb. Cardstock. Line the larger sand shore up with the front of the A2 base. Tear up to the score line to create a Dutch Door card front.

Trim the top portion of the card front so you have the lower section only. Discard that piece.

Attach the lager sandy hill to the card base. Add foam tape to the lower sandy hill and attach to the bottom.

Finish the Layered Beach Card

Here’s where the fun begins! Add glue to the selected shells and arrange on the sandy hills. Tuck a couple behind the smaller hill.

White heat emboss a sentiment on the inside and add a few more shell to finish your layered beach card.
