Altenew June 2023 Stamps, Dies, Stencil, Hot Foil Plate, Embossing Folder Release Overview

Hello friends the June Release from Altenew is another spectacular one filled with hot foil plates my new go-to technique! I am so excited to be video hopping with Jennifer McGuire, Jaycee Gasper and Laura Bassen! Check out the Altenew video for the deets and the giveaway here. My video is linked below.

Let's see how you can use the positive and negative foil prints! I never waste the negative hot foil if I can do the reverse image successfully!

Check out the Journey Abroad Hot Foil Plate! It is a gorgeous geometric design. Start by foiling with Altenew's Brass Hot Foil. Once I had the first imprint, Use a flat foil plate to foil the negative image.

Trim both pieces to 4.0 x 5.25 inches and then at an angle. Mount on an A2 card base with the positive image at the top with the negative image below.

Hot foil the Encouraging Sentiments and use the matching Dies to cut them out. I like to make multiples while I have the sets out. Cut a separate sentiment shadow using a matching gold cardstock. Attach the foiled sentiment to the gold base off setting it slightly and glue on top.

Here is another take on the Journey Abroad Hot Foil Plate

Start with a Brass Foiled A2 watercolor panel. Color the lower third of the panel by watercoloring the individual shapes. Use the matching stencils to identify the background and color that using a black alcohol ink marker.

Use the You matter to me foiled sentiment for this card. Die cut the You separately using black glossy cardstock. Add another layer for interest. Glue the sentiment over the colored section and add a gold strip right over the area where the colored section meets the positive impression.

Check out this fun window card created using the Gateway to Morocco Die plus the Embellished Star die.

Line an A2 size Navy panel up with the front of an A2 cardbase. Use Altenew's Satin Masking  tape to hold together. Cut the Gateway die through both layers. Cut the Gateway embellishments with gold cardstock.

Use Altenew's Glitter Cardstock to cut the Embellished Star Die centering the die on the Glitter Cardstock. Punch out the openings and sandwich between the card base and the Navy panel.
Add the gold embellishment pieces.

Die cut Thank you using the sentiment die from Encouraging Sentiments and glue to the front of the opening being careful to only glue where there is cardstock. You do not want to glue the card shut!

I love the glittery window on the Navy background!

This month also featured a gorgeous die set called Prickly Pear Die Set. I had to do a search to see what colors this bloom would be and landed on a pink and purple scene as the Prickly Pear is a cactus. Die cut the layers using a variety of pinks, dark purple and yellows. The petal have an embossed line that I partially folded for dimension.

Following the excellent photos provided by Altenew and lining the keys up, glue the layers of the flowers together. Altenew add key shaped opening ot help you line the blooms up!

Create the card base using a light pink A2 panel. Add Raffleberry ink to the raised line side of the Waffle Diamond 3D embossing folder. This creates a very textured base that may interfere with the blooms. Run the embossed piece through your die cut machine using 2 plates to flatten the panel. The ink you added shows the texture. Arrange the blooms and purple leaves.

Stamp your sentiment in a color of your choice using one of the Bold Sentiment Stamps. Trim so the sentiment has a small border and add a couple additional cardstock strips to pop the image up.
