Lucky Vintage Shamrock Card

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a cute shamrock card for CutCardStock to celebrate St.Patrick's Day.

Die Cuts First!

Curious Metallic Botanic is the perfect shade of green cardstock for the lucky shamrock. The Lucky Love Impresslit not only creates a 3D shamrock, but a heart as well.

The new Tailored Die from Sizzix is sooooo cute! Check out all the dimension you can get when folding the lapels and shirt collar down! The shirt is cut from Cougar 80 lb. Natural Cardstock. Glue all the layers together and fold the lapel and shirt collar for dimension.

Basis Brown is a deep brown and makes a distiguished lapel on the coat and the cute Bowler Hat! There are other colors available as well from CutCardStock. Add Antique Linen ink to brim and top pieces and glue together. Add the green band.

The Lucky Sentiment is cut from the same green as the Shamrock plus the Cougar Natural. Check out the dimension achieved by stacking die cuts.

Create the Base Panel and Card

Check out how easy it is to create interest simply by stamping on Royal Sundance Kraft Cardstock! Check out your vintage and steam punk stamps and select a few images to stamp. Remember we are creating interest for the background so being legible is not the goal!

Stamp the words and images using Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Once done, attach to a Natural Card Base.

Assemble the Card

Chose the best place for the lucky shamrock allowing room for the hat and coat lapels. Glue the Shamrock in place first, followed by the hat and the coat collar.

Glue the main sentiment at the bottom of the card. Select additional small sentiments. You can use pre-printed ones or stamp small sentiment strips. Add a few layers to pop the additional sentiments up.

May the luck of the Irish be with you this month! Be sure to visit CutCardStock and check out all the goodies!
