So happy to be participating in this fun and educational Altenew Educators Hop! Details on prizes are at the end of this post. You should have arrived from Amy Hilll's blog. If you need to start again, go to the Altenew Blog
We'll start with the Purple card created with the Watercolor Garden Layering Stamp. The Gold Washi Tape was a perfect geometric background for this card! I used a piece of the Purple Gradient Cardstock as a background for the washi tape to create a great base for the flowers.
I loved using the Shades of Purple Gradient Cardstock with this die set. The dies line up perfectly with the cardstock making it so easy to die cut.

I love the way the way the Bold Greetings Die Set accents this Geometric style card.
The second card I created is using the same Gold String Washi tape and the Festive Poinsettia Stamp and Die Bundle.
When I think of geometric shapes, I think of triangles first. After running a strip or the Gold String Washi tape along the left side of the card, I drew a large triangle opening and hand cut through both the card front and the front of the A2 card base.
The triangle created the perfect opening to attach the flower to allowing the card base to show through. The flower was created by gold heat embossing the stamp on Cougar 80 lb. CardStock. I water-colored the flower with Altenew's Artist Grade Watercolors. I love pink poinsettias.
I also heat embossed the Peace and Joy on the front. I love the way the Gold String Washi Tape compliments the gold embossing!
