Four Wreaths, One Die Set from Tim Holtz's Vault Release

Hello friends! I am so excited to present this four season home decor piece for The Funkie Junkie Boutique.  As soon as I saw Tim's live with the release, I knew I had to have The Vault Funky Floral Wreath. KathStewart's four season cards confirmed my original idea of a colorful vintage seasonal panel!

Industrial Grunge Junk Tag

Greetings friends. I'm here today to post a tag for The Funkie Junkie Boutique. The current challenge is to use gears and other metal pieces to create a project with an industrial feel to it.

Great ideas for guy cards which are always a challenge for me. The challenge deets are on the Funkie Junkie Blog.

Look at all the details and industrial grunge on this one!

Chalk It Up Challenge: Blackboard Scene.

Hi friends! The Funkie Junkie Boutique Challenge this week is Chalk It Up! I know you are thinking we all may do something related to Back to School as it is that time of year. In typical Teri fashion, I did a chalkboard winter scene! I found a chalkboard in my stash and decided it would be perfect to use a variety of Sizzix Dies to create a winter scene.

Check out all the great dimension created by using layers on this cute winter scene!

It all started with the chalkboard! I used Dina Wakley's white gesso to stamp the sentiment from Stampers Anonymous Bold Tidings 2 stamp. I just poured the gesso on my mat and stamped directly on the chalkboard. Luckily I had the right amount of paint on the stamp!

I grabbed a start stencil from my stash and added white embossing paste to create a starry night on the top half of the chalkboard.

Next it is on to the dies to create the scene.  I used the following dies:

Tree Line, Darling Deer, Snowscape Colorize, and The Mountain Die.

I worked on each layer individually, and assembled the scene at the end.  The Colorize Snowscape die is shorter than the length of the chalkboard so I had to get a little creative. By placing the top cutting plate inside the right edge, I was able to move the plate over, just to the right of the left edge and create a wider scene. The trees and the mountains were easy as all I had to do was create multiples.

Check out the sparkly trees and the snow on the mountain achieved with glitter cardstock!
