Star Dream Metallic Cardstock for the Win

 Hello friends. Today I am posting for CutCardStock! I’m in the holiday mood and creating fun wintery cards! Star Dream Metallic is perfect to create the shiny stars and sentiments.

Check out this sweet holiday scene complete with Santa and the reindeer!

Create the Background

This card started with a panel left over from my previous post with the snowmen! Follow me to see my Background Box Shenanigans!

The depth of color is enhanced using Mica Spray on The Distress Ink Background using Tumbled Glass and Salvaged Patina.

Die cut Snowy Stars from Sizzix in the upper right section to create the starry background for Santa!. Attach to a piece of Gold Star Dream Metallic Cardstock and see the starts shine bright!

Create the Die Cut Images

Use Silver Star Dream Metallic Cardstock to cut the earth image using Sizzix Vault World Travel Die set. Cut the earth segments using a Green Cardstock. Use Black Soot Archival ink to edge the earth and Rustic Wilderness Distress Ink to edge the earth pieces. Glue together and set aside.

Die cut two sets of Santa and the reindeer with Pop Tone Black Licorice Cardstock and the Dash Away Die. Stack and glue together.

Die cut Peace on earth, twice using the Silver Star Dream Metallic Cardstock and once from Pop Tone Black Licorice Cardstock. Stack the two silver die cuts on top of each other and add the black die cut offset just a little to highlight the sentiment.

Assemble the Card

Arrange the earth image near the center of the starry circle and glue Santa and his Reindeer on top.

Arrange the sentiment in an arch at the bottom of the panel.

Attach to an A2 cardbase. Cougar 110 White Cardstock is my preferred cardstock. It is quite sturdy and makes great card bases!
