Interactive Halloween Card

Are you ready for Halloween? I am starting with this fun bat card and posting for  CutCardStock today!

Start with the Background

Use an A7 size piece (5×7 inches) of Cougar 80 lb. White Cardstock to create this spooky background. Attach the Stampers Anonymous Moon Mask with temporary tape to cover an area for the moon. Use Oxide Distress Inks in your color choices to ink blend a spooky background. Flick water droplets on the background for texture. Finish the moon using the additional stencil layers.

Create the Card Base

Cut the Royal Sundance Kraft Cardstock to 10 x 7 inches and score in half to make the A7 card base. You will need an additional 5 x 7 inch piece of the Kraft cardstock to create the frame.

Line the panel up with the card base and die cut a rectangle from both pieces landscape using the die of your choice. This creates a window to add the bats to.

Stamp the Additional Images

On the ink blended base, Stamp a tree limb using a Sketch Manor #408 from Stampers Anonymous. Glue an additional piece of raft on the back and fussy cut the image out. Stamp another tree branch in the upper right corner of the inked base. Add the word Boo in the lower left by stamping in black ink.

Stamp nine bats using The Obscure #471 from Stampers Anomymous. You need nine bats to create the four spinning bats plus the additional bat. Fussy cut them all out and glue back-to-back with silver thread in between. You need enough thread to go from top to bottom on the frame. Add Hickory Smoke Distress Ink to the edges of the bats.

Assemble the Bat Card

Start with the card base. Glue the die cut tree branch directly over the stamped branch. Arrange the double-sided bats around the tree branch. Add a drop of glue and adhesive tape over the silver string top and bottom to keep in place. Add the single sided bat directly onto the card base.

Line up and attach the front frame over the card base frame.
