Craft a Flower: Stargazer Lily

Hello friends! I've had way too much fun with the Altenew July Marvelous Monthly Release. Today I am sharing The Stargazer Lily Craft a Flower set.

You didn't expect these colors did you?  I did a search online for the blooms and discovered this color combo so I went with it!

This is a gorgeous layered die set, so easy to assemble thanks to Altenew's unique key guide.

Start by die cutting all the pieces using watercolor cardstock. Use Altew Watercolor Pencils to color the blooms and leaves.Use the Turquoise pencil to color the blooms. It is so easy to outline the lines on the petals with the pencils and fill in the base as well. Use a watercolor brush to soften the colors.

Use Limeade to color the leaves and Oolong Tea for the stamens. Assemble the blooms once the cardstock is dry using the unique key system for guidance.

Using an A2 watercolor cardstock base, determine the placement for the blooms. This will provide a guide where the turquoise color should stop and the drips begin. Use a turquoise watercolor from the 36 pan watercolor set. Generously mix the color and water on your craft mat. You want the color to be thin like a wash. Only color down to the line where the blooms will be.

Starting at the bottom of the turquoise wash, add drips of Turquoise and Lime watercolor from the pan set and allow it to drip to the bottom of the panel.

Use a pencil to round the leaves and blooms. Add Altenew Foam Tape to the blooms to pop them off the panel.

Cut two Hugs using the Hello and Hugs dies. Stack and glue together before attaching to the panel. Add a few black sequins to complete the card.
