Kraft Window Card

Hello friends. Posting for CutCardStock today. Check out this fun window card I created using the new Sizzix Blossoms Die. I had so much fun creating this fun card! Check out all the depth and dimension!

Create the Card Base

Start by cutting and 8.5 x 11 inch piece of Royal Sundance Kraft Cardstock in half to form your A2 card base. Cut another A2 size panel as well.

Using a Rectangle Die cut a window in both the card base and the A2 panel. I used Hero Arts Nesting Rectangle Die.

Insirt the panel window die into the Sizzix Lumber Texture Fades Folder and run it through your die cutting machine. I love the texture this folder creates!

Die Cut the Blooms

Die cut three leaf sets and the layers for the Blossom. Cut the leaf pieces with Basis Green and Gallx cardstock. Ink the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Cut the bloom base with Basis Brown Cardstock and the next layer with a Dark Orange Cardstock. The top layer is the lightest. Use a creamy yellow cardstock.

Cut the flower center with kraft and the orange cardstock. Ink all the flower parts edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Glue all the flower parts together.

Chose a sentiment with a shadow so you can use two colors to make the sentiment pop off the card! I used a Hero Arts monthly kit die from September. Cut the shadow with yellow and the word with the orange cardstock. Glue together and ink the edges.

Assemble the Window Card

Attach the lumber embossed frame to the card base.

Arrange the bloom plus the leaves so they overlap the window. Glue in place. Add the sentiment at an angle and glue in place.

Using the kraft cardstock, cut one more sentiment shadow. Glue to the back of the sentiment inside of the frame.

Love how the window is created, allowing plenty of room for the message inside!
