Hello Crafty Friends. Today I am presenting a way to step up a floral frame die for CutCardStock by trimming and piecing cardstock of different colors to get more impact.
Classic Linen Cardstock in White Pearl and Gold Pearl add additional shine to this project!
I do have a complete video here: https://youtu.be/wG33y8v8CDc
The Concord & 9th Thinking of You die set (affiliate link) is perfect for piecing layers of color together to get more impact! Die cut the frame piece with Gold Pearl Classic Linen, White Pearl Classic Line, Coral Cardstock, Cougar 110 lb. White Cardstock, and Discount Cardstock Bayleaf Green Cardstocks. Die cut the sentiment with the Gold Linen and Cougar 110 lb. Cardstock.
Assemble the Frame Layers
Glue the Classic Linen Gold Pearl Linen to the Cougar White Frame. Set aside to dry.
Start the process at the corner by trimming the large flower from the White Pearl frame cut. Ink blend with Mustard Seed Distress ink. Add Ripe Persimmon Distress ink to the center of the blooms. Use a burnishing tool in the flower center to create depth. Set aside.
Using a flower bloom as a guide, trim the Bayleaf frame down so you just have the stem and leaves. Note this includes trimming a portion of the outside frame to get more impact.
Trim the small blooms off of the frame. Piece the cardstock sections starting with the large corner blooms, the leaf and stem piece and the smaller blooms to the Gold Pearl Frame.
Assemble the Card
Glue the sentiment pieces together with the Gold Pearl on top. Cut a piece of 8.5 x 11" Classic Linen White pearl in half and score to make your A2 card base.
Glue the frame and the Sentiment on the White Pearl Linen Cardbase.
