Hello friends. I hope you are all well. I had a blast playing with my favorite characters - Snarky Cats! Posting today for The Funkie Junkie Boutique. We have a fun challenge this time called Stamped with Love. Get out your old or new favorite Tim Holtz stamps to create something special! The deets are here on our blog - you may win a prize or be asked to be our guest designer!
There is a video on my YouTube. I'd love to have you subscribe to it!
Here's the link in case it is not showing: https://youtu.be/0x1tdgiMazk.
I started with small manila tags from my stash. I also selected ink smooshed backgrounds from my stash and just started playing!
Here are the six backgrounds prior to being decorated or assembled into the display piece.
I black heat embossed the stamps from Snarky Cat Halloween and colored with alcohol markers. After coloring, I fussy cut all the images.
Next step was to decorate the individual tags.
The Birch Tree Thinlet (discontinued) was cut from Kraft Woodgrain Cardstock and swiped with Distress Walnut Stain Ink. After attaching the trees to one of the ink smooshed backgrounds, I stamped and embossed the bats from the Snarky Cat Halloween Stamp set.
I added the hand lettered Parking sign to the trees. A few brooms and a cat with the witch hat completes this scene.
Add a Snarky Cat (cut his tail so it can go to the side), a pumpkin and a jar of mushrooms and you're ready to add the sentiment!
Next Tag starts with the Webs and Damask Stamp Set (discontinued) black embossed on the next tag. Add a cat, a pumpkin and a sentiment and you are good to go.
Love the sentiment "It's behind me. isn't it?" So funny. I needed a scene to go with this one. I stamped a ghost from Halloween Doodles on yet another ink smooshed background. The city is cut using the City Scape Skyline die in black and grey cardstock. Add the cat on a broom in a witches hat and the sentiment to finish.
Black emboss the spiderweb from Webs and Damask stamp on another inky smooshed background. Add a cat and a pumpkin and you're ready for the sentiment.
The panels are attached with strips of plastic packing scored down the middle and glued on with Collage Medium.
