Altenew 8th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 2 + Giveaway (over $2,000 in Total Prizes) - Three D Interactive Floral Card

Hello friends! Happy Spring! I'm presenting a fun interactive card inspired by Jennifer McGuire for the 8th Anniversary Celebration for Altenew! We have Hops all week with some amazing prizes. Such bright colors and lots of dimension.

The 3D portion is mounted on a Classic Crest 80 lb. white cardstock A2 size base. I die cut the Leaf Frame Cover Die from the white cardstock three times and glued together for dimension.

The first step is to create all the gorgeous floral pieces using the Craft A Flower Orion Geranium and various shades of cardstock in your choice of colors.

The pop up box inspired by Jennifer McGuire is also cut from the Classic Crest White Cardstock. 

Here's how you do it....Cut a piece of the cardstock to 5.5 x 4 inches. Using a scoreboard, score on the long side at 0.5, 1.5, 2.5 and 3.5 inches. This allows you to create a 1 inch box. I chose this measurement as the border on the Leaf Frame Cover Die is close to 1 inch. Using your bone folder, crease the folds.

Next, use a strong tape to attach the box to the left side of a portrait oriented A2 card. You will want the 0.5 inch parts to be attached to the card base.

The next step is to trim the Leaf Frame Die. Measure in 1 inch from the left side of the frame, and cut. Note: you will need both pieces for this card. Attach the 1 inch section to the pop up box using white glue. Attach the remaining piece to the base of the A2 card, butting it up against the box.

Once dry, you can begin layering your flowers. I added two flowers and additional leaves to the pop-up box. 

Cut the small label from the Nesting Slim Label Die set and trim the left side so the label fits on the card front. The final step is the heat emboss the word Grateful from The inside and Out Stamp Set using Altenew's Black Obsidian Pigment Ink and Clear embossing powder.
