Altenew Vintage Galore Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Hello Friends! Today I am so excited to share the new Altenew Vintage Galore Release as part of an amazing Blog Hop. If you are hopping, you should have arrived from Fiona Duff's blog. The entire hop begins Here. Be sure to leave some love on all the blog stops to be eligible for prizes (info at the end of this post).

I got a little carried away with the Folk Flowers Stencil, Die and Stamp set!  It is so easy to be creative with!

As with most of my posts, I began by inking multiple card bases in a variety of color combinations. This is a great way to get the creative juices flowing!

After ink blending the stencils, stamping the detail stamp and die cutting some of the center complete blooms, I set off to be creative. This card begins with an A2 card base made with White Classic Crest 80 lb Cardstock. Pop-Tone Razzleberry CardStock cut to 3.75 x 5 inches is embossed with the new Dotted Tile Debossing Cover Die. I love the way these dies add a subtle texture to cards. The debossed piece is popped with a piece of fun foam.

I arranged two of the complete blooms on the front and added the Hugs die cut from Pop-Tone Black Licorice Cardstock. The die is from one of my favorite sets the Hello and Hugs Die set. Ink colors used include Hydrangea from the Enchanted Garden set, Turquoise from the Deep Blue Seas set, green ink from the Green Meadows ink cube set.

I love the dimension the fun foam creates. See how the flowers hang over the popped-up section?

This card uses the same ink colors as above. One of the bases is mounted on a White Classic Crest 80 lb Cardstock A2 base. I cut two rounded rectanges from Cougar plus the larger one from Stardream Metallic Amethyst Cardstock. The sentiment is small enough that I was able to cut three sets out from the center of the Amethyst rectangle!  What a great way to save cardstock.

After assembling the card layers and adding the sentiment, I added enamel dots from the
Our Family Enamel Dot Set.

Onto card number three with the same ink colors. I decided to create a slimline card which was quite a trick with a 6 x 6 stencil.

I started with a piece of White Classic Crest 80 lb Cardstock to 3.25 x 9 inches with the corners rounded. I started at the bottom of the card base and ink blended the stencil after masking off the partial leaves on the top of the stencil. I then rotated the stencil and identified placement avoiding overlapping and masking the stencil where the overlapping occurred.

The stenciled base was layered over Granny Smith Cardstock. Check out how it offsets the leaves! The Fancy Celebrate Die was cut with Stardream Metallic Amethyst Cardstock twice and layered. I love the subtle sheen of Stardream Cardstock. Two 1/4 inch strips of Pop-Tone Black Licorice Cardstock were aligned at an angle just below the center letters.

Time to switch color themes for the last two cards! This time I went for warmer colors and used Orange Cream from the Warm and Cozy Ink set and the Magenta from the Spring Bouquet set along with the same greens from above.

After attaching a 4.0 by 5.25 inch piece of Pop-Tone Razzleberry Cardstock to a White Classic Crest 80 lb Cardstock, the stencil background was trimmed to 3.75 x 5.0 inches and added.

Check out the texture on the oval! A heavy Vellum piece of cardstock, cut in an oval was embossed using the Garden Harmony Embossing Folder. This is a great embossing folder to add dimension to your projects. After added the flower on top, I stamped the sentiment from the Sentiment 3 stamp set.

A quick look at the final card, using the Dotted Tile Debossing Folder, a single bloom and a Thanks cut from Pop-Tone Black Licorice Cardstock with the Thanks Die. The embossed piece is on Stardream Metallic Azalea for added shimmer.
