Snarky Cat Holiday Card

I love Tim Holtz's Snarky Cats. They are way too much fun to design with! Today I am playing with the sledding cat and other tools from @StampersAnonymous and posting for The Funkie Junkie Boutique.

I started by running a laminator sheet through my laminator with the snow sparkles inside. Now I have left-overs to do four more cards! I love how it created the perfect snowy window.

I started by ink blending Festive Berries Distress Ink over the Layering Peppermint Stripe Stencil on the front of a A2 sized White Cougar Cardstock. (I used masking tape to cover the back of the card). I had to move the stencil and match the stripes to achieve total coverage. I cut the window using the Deckle Edge Die from Sizzix.  I cut a matching opening from a 4.25 x 5.5 inch piece of White Cougar Cardstock as well to sandwich the snowy window.

The snowy window is sandwiched between the striped window and a white window pieces.

Next up is the inside snowy scene. I started by positioning one of the solid moon masks from the Layering Moon Mask set over the back of a 4.25 x 5.5 in piece of Cougar 80 lb. Cardstock. I ink blended Seedless Preserves, Prize Ribbon and Weathered Wood Distress Inks on the cardstock to create a wintery sky.  The moon mask kept the area clear of ink so I could add Scattered Straw Distress Ink to create the moon base. The moon detailed mask was used to create depth using blended Pumice Stone Distress ink. I spritzed it with Silver Shimmer Spray for sparkles.

The snow drift was created by tearing a piece of Cougar Cardstock.

The trees were cut from a piece of dark green cardstock using the Sizzix Treeline Die.

I stamped the Snarky Cat with Black Soot Archival Ink and colored with Alcohol Markers. After fussy cutting, I glued it to the card front. A little Glossy Accents make the eyes pop.

I stamped the funny sentiment on the inside!

The snowy window is sandwiched between the striped window and a white window piece.
