Altered Mixed Media Box

Hello Crafty Friends! I had a blast making this Altered Mixed Media box!

And it all started with an unfinished cigar box from my stash!

The project started with this unfinished cigar box. I did sand the top and the sides where the company name was embossed.

I painted the box with white Gesso and then a layer of Grey Chalk Paint.

Next step was adding the Bouquet #664418 strips and pieces onto the box with Distress Collage Medium.

I did add Hickory Smoke Distress Crayon to soften the look. The photo above is before crayon.

I added the floral layer Brushstroke Flower #2 as well as the word Gratitude cut using an Altenew Die set.

I have a video here documenting the process. It is longer than my normal videos:

The inside needed some attention, so I measured and cut a piece of light grey cardstock to fit. Using double sided tape, I attached a piece of the Aviary Collage paper and smoothed it out with my bone folder.

I am so happy you stopped by! I'd love to have you follow/subscribe on my social media sites Instagram, Facebook, Blogger and You Tube.  Be well. Be creative!
