Stencils Plus Stardream Metallic Cardstock

Hello friends. Today I am posting for CutCardstock.  I am using Distressed Inks to stencil on Opal Stardream Metallic Cardstock. While Distress Inks are generally bright, the Opal Cardstock created a gorgeous sheen!

Create the Rainbow Base Panel

This panel only uses three ink colors as they blend together to create additional hues. Using the layered stencil of your choosing, ink blend the layers to cover the panel. I used The Tiled Art Stencil from Simon Says Stamp. Create the depth by starting with a light ink base, progressing to deeper colors in the center. see how soft and shimmery this panel is!

Create the Rainbow Sentiment

Using the same cardstock, blend a rainbow of colors large enough to cover the die cut sentiment. I used Concord and Ninth Just Sayings. Die cut the words using the rainbow piece, and the three shadow pieces from the Opal Cardstock.

Assemble the Card

Glue the three shadow pieces together followed by the sentiment. Trim the stenciled panel to 5.25 x 4.0 inches. Make another Opal Stardream panel that is 5.5 x 4.25. Attach the stenciled panel on the larger panel. Add the sentiment.

Use Cougar 110 lb. White Cardstock to create your card base. Purchase Cougar Cardstock by the ream and cut and score your own bases. I keep a stash of card bases ready to go!
