Monochromatic Strips for the Win

Greetings Crafty Friends. It is Teri with TerisMailbox posting for the Monochromatic Challenge with CutCardStock! Too much fun! There are so many ways to use thin Cardstock stripes. Today I am sharing two fun masculine cards!

Cut the Monochromatic Strips

This project started by cutting 1/4 inch strips using DCS IndigoPop Tone BerryliciousDCS Blue Hydrangea and DCS Blue Calico Cardstocks. Armed with a pile of strips, I used double sided adhesive to attach the stripes to an A2 sized Cougar 80 lb White Cardstock panel.

Die Cut the Words

Use Concord and 9th’s Everyday Sayings Hello and There Die. Cut the Hello in the center of the striped panel. You get both the word plus an outline. Die cut the there banner from 80 lb. White Cougar Cardstock twice and stack for dimension.

Assemble the First Card

Trim the panel to 4.0 x 5.25 inches and attach the negative die cut to an A2 size DCS Blue Hydrangea panel. Center the striped Hello in the Center and add the There below that opening.

Create the Shaker Card

Glue the negative outline and center pieces for the word Hello on a 5.25 x 2.75 inch white panel. Use a piece of clear acetate that stamps come in to create a pocket. Add your choice of bling (Mine is from This Calls For Confetti). Seal the pocket.

Attach the pocket to an A2 size piece of Indigo Cardstock. Die cut There from White cardstock and attach below the shaker pocket!

Attach both front panels to a card base made from Cougar 100 lb. White cardstock. I create my own bases by cutting and scoring full sheets!
